Elm Lodge Hot Tub Policy

Please read and follow the instructions and advice in this policy for your enjoyment, health and safety when using the hot tub.  We will take no responsibility for items in this policy that have been ignored.

The hot tub has been emptied, sanitised and refilled prior to your arrival. It takes several hours for the hot tub to reach its optimum temperature. It may be that upon your arrival it is not ready for immediate use; this is unavoidable. Guests are unable to adjust the temperature setting.

There are two controls buttons which are located on the rim of the hot tub. The light button simply turns the submerged light on and off. If the jets button is pressed once the jets are activated at a low level, a second push of the button will increase the power of the jets to maximum.

The black cap located next to the buttons (which has Frog stamped on it) contains chemical canisters and should not be opened. Further along the rim of the tub another black control knob will activate the bubble jets if turned one way or the other. Individual jets can be turned on or off by rotating the outer casing gently.

The tub is programmed to self regulate and clean and will from time to time activate itself or not allow you to switch the jets off manually. This is entirely safe and normal.

  • DO NOT switch the electrical supply to the hot tub off at any time.
  • DO NOT attempt to refill or top up the hot tub. Please contact us if you feel the level is too low.
  • DO NOT use glassware in or by the tub. Plastic glasses are supplied. These are not disposable and should be washed by hand, not in the dishwasher, please.
  • DO NOT eat food in the tub
  • DO NOT jump into the water or play ball games
  • DO NOT use oils, soaps or any detergent in the water

The tub is controlled with special sanitising chemicals and is not a child’s paddling or play pool.  No toys or inflatable’s to be used in the tub.

  • DO please shower before using the tub. Body oils and creams will cause the water to foam and discolour.
  • DO please make sure all four clips are undone before attempting to remove the cover – they snap easily.
  • DO please lift the lid by holding the main cover and not the tabs or skirting.  This should be done by two  people.
  • DO please replace the lid after every use. Pull the skirt down around the outer casing and fix with the  clips on the 4 locking straps. The water temperature will cool if the cover is left off.
  • DO please brush any mud/grit from your feet before entering the water.
  • DO please use the beach towels provided for use with the spa pool.
