Here are some guest recommendations of places they have found to visit and eat:

Lions at West Midlands Safari Park
Lions at West Midlands Safari Park

Super day out at the West Midlands Safari Park.  Great tip is to get there to drive round when the park opens as this is when the animals are released into the enclosures.  They will be more active and visible.

The Fighting Cocks at Stottesdon is very popular with our guests and offers freshly cooked food and real ales.  Highly recommended by ourselves.

The Royale Bridgnorth on the corner of Church Street and High Street. Cafe / Restaurant with real ales. Large cob with a good slice of ham, mustard mayonnaise and lettuce and either a bowl of soup or chips for £7.

The Shakespeare in Bridgnorth.  Good pub food at great prices.

The Ship at Highley has been recommended by several guest as having good food at reasonable prices.

Canoe UK trip to Arley with steam train return was fabulous.

We had a great day out on the Severn Valley Railway.  Train can be picked up at Highley – also free but limited car parking there.  There is a brilliant playground at the Engine Room at Highley station which is also an excellent museum – £6 entry or free with train ticket.

Steam train journey excellent.  Start early to take in the museum at Highley.

The ‘Live the Adventure country treks’ for horse riding in Stottesdon was incredible. We went on a 2 hour hack around the area which was beautiful. Would thoroughly recommend for any ability.

The Stables Bar in Bridgnorth has amazing food & drinks/atmosphere.

The Kings Head, Bridgnorth was excellent – great food and open at good times on a week night.

Would recommend a cycle ride in the Wyre Forest – it’s beautiful and such fun!

We took a trip to the Wyre Forest, just 20 mins away.  They have several walking trails of different difficulties, a family mountain bike track, a place where you can hire bikes from and ‘Go Ape’ which has both a big course and a smaller course for children.

Peepo in High Town Bridgnorth was lovely.  Good value too!

We’d recommend the Woodbridge Inn pub and visiting Blists Hill Victorian Town in Ironbridge.

IronbridgeWe really enjoyed the Ludlow Brewery Tour – worth a mention.

Enjoyed a very nice carvery at the Punch Bowl Inn.  They also serve other food too at an amazing price.  Lovely outside seating too.

Bridgnorth is a super market town with great shops and restaurants. Best meal was at The Kings Head.  Ironbridge is definitely worth a trip, and RAF Cosford makes for a super day out.

M & S food in Bridgnorth for families staying in.

Ship at Highley is proper pub grub rather than fancy dining but I’ve never had a bad meal in there and the pub itself has so much character.
